The Client
The Black Urban Farmers Association was founded by several farmers in Central California to bring fresh food to underserved communities.
With this redesign of their website, they wanted to improve overall site navigation and SEO, have more unified visual harmony, and create a more empathetic user experience.
The Results
We refined BUFA’s overall goodwill messaging into a few key pillars: accessibility, health, and community. That messaging was incorporated throughout the site – highlighting the good work done by the farmers and volunteers.
Actionable Change
Donations and volunteers are a huge part of BUFA’s success. By directing traffic to actionable forms and easy-to-use donation buttons, BUFA was able to engage benefactors at a much higher level.
By incorporating forms, we were able to capture data for future marketing pipelines.
Since their new site launch, BUFA has seen a dramatic uptick in site traffic, and they have been able to use their new site to leverage donations from new investors. They will use this funding to establish a permanent physical retail location, which users can now find thanks to their website.
